Harvested the last one - since there may soon come night frosts.
This one weighed in at 8.1kg.
The last three:
Pumpkins 3 and 4 today - the plants had finally given up - so no more ripening outside.
Finally the new lawn has grown enough to mow. And we can use it as a garden :)
As well as mowing, the other half the garden has been prepared, chalked and had grass seed put down - so - in a few weeks the lawn should cover both halves.
Tomatos - going well. Cucumbers - just repotted from 3" to 5" pots - hopefully planting both of these out within the month. Cauliflower? Well - I have no idea what they're supposed to look like but at the moment they look like giant cress.
This year we'll see if we can get the cucumbers (F1 burpless tasty green) to stay healthy and not just get leggy/stringy and die.
Found a link that says not to pluck the mail flowers and to remove the main stem once 6 leaves have grown.
12 onions in (from seed during the week) and 35 sweetcorn plants sown today (again from seed). Digging over the plot has started - but still lots of old thick treeroots to remove. It should be finished in time for planting out though.
